Responsibility - Openness - Companionship
Esperanto is a collaborative platform, aiming to highlight and support Oslo’s up-and-coming HoReCa talents, DJs, musicians, artists and photographers, by providing them with an "open arena" where they can freely showcase their identities and professional skills.
Our company name derives from the constructed language Esperanto, which means to serve as a neutral bridge of communication going beyond the concept of borders and cultures. As an international and idealistic group of friends, we feel the name and what it represents goes hand in hand with our vision.
While our inspiration is borderless, our aim is to use only locally sourced/fair-traded, organic/wild, seasonal products, following a Vegan dogma.
We carry this sustainability ideology into all other aspects of our business as well, from small details like the recycled paper used for the menus, or the brand of soap in the toilet, to more challenging endeavors, like being as energy and waste-efficient as possible.
Among other things, we also pay our employees a fair wage, and are strongly against the "tipping culture".
We want to be transparent at all times regarding who we are, what our philosophy is, and what our business model looks like, as we want to archive a bilateral relationship with our customers based on trust and goodwill.
When it comes to our products it is equally important for us to showcase where they come from and their road here, and also how they are handled.
Our goal is to create a place without formalities and nonessentials, a place where everyone is welcome and feels at home.
We think that in union and diversity there is strength; as our different backgrounds and life experiences allow us to fill each other gaps, this way elevating our capacity as a group to tackle almost any adversity.
